Delete individual emails in a chain / thread

I would like the ability to manage individual emails in a chain. This is especially useful for when you have large corporate mail groups and a reply all results in lots of out of office notifications, etc. Being able to delete these cleans up the email chain considerably and makes it more manageable.

You can now do this, by first moving that one email out of the conversation, then trashing it.

Philippe Lehoux: It's nice that this is now possible, but it seems like an awkward workaround to something that should be doable in a single click. There should be a little trash can icon in the footer of each message in a thread that would allow you to delete that message.

This would be so great. I have to go to gmail to delete these pesky OOO emails, feels like this should be on the roadmap!

Yes! We have other scenarios too where emails get added to the thread which are not relevant (e.g. when someone forwards a meeting). We would like to be able to delete these so we can focus on the main thread

Agree. Also individual folders/flags for threads that veer off topic. See Spark for a good implementation of this.
