Having the ability to change the background color behind text (similar to highlighting it) would be very helpful!

Could be used to emphasize critical pieces of text, visually match similar color coding in documents, etc.

In addition, I often get sent emails with highlighted text and when I reply or forward Missive strips the highlighting out.
