Shared signatures with dynamic variables

Imagine being able to administer a whole company's signatures from within Missive. Where you could create several different signature designs by choosing and editing templates, or creating your own, and Missive would automatically insert the names, phone numbers, etc of the users with the assigned signatures. You could also add marketing graphic below the signatures and assign it automatically to specific departments within the company.
https://www.letsignit.io/ is on to something here.

Etienne Lemay Can you please provide an organization setting, "Enforce Managed Signatures"?
Etienne Lemay
Brad Konia: Yes and no. Enforcing anything to someone else is something we might add, but that would be part of an “enterprise” plan where people cannot be part of multiple organizations. We could then give more control to organization admins.
Until then, that can be enforced on shared accounts. The person who imports the shared account has control over all the aliases and can force them to use a managed signature.

Shared/template signatures are finally here! In Missive, we call them
Managed signatures
.It has its own menu in the settings to create and edit the signatures. You then need to select the signature for each alias you want to use a managed signature with.
Organization > Members
now have editable profiles. It’s basically a contact card, you can fill as many fields as you want and add custom ones. Variables works just like in Responses. When editing a signature you can preview everyone’s signature based on their profile data.Feature overview coming in the next couple days on our website.

Etienne Lemay: is there a way to edit a shared signature once you make it?
Etienne Lemay
Mosey Levy: Yep, same place where you created it. In the
Managed signatures
settingsMosey Levy
Etienne Lemay: got it thanks. I was using it in the accounts - signatures area. Didn’t realize there was a new section in the prefs area. Thanks!
Etienne Lemay
Mosey Levy: Oh I see, good point. We’ll try to add a shortcut there as well :)

It's a bit of a faff to get users to set their own email footers when one is looking for a consistent corporate format.
But more importantly we really want to have short footer messages like 'see us at the NABB Show - April 2020' or a new product or feature link to our website.
Asking all users to insert this themselves and then monitoring its removal is really not ideal.

Spark email as a really friendly way of changing emails signatures when writting the email.
Josh Campbell
Definitely need this! It's getting harder and harder to manage the whole teams signatures and ensure continuity among the brand.
Bernardo Castro
A neat idea would also be to create a "Webhook integrations" to load a list of email signatures via the API. For example, the administrator could connect to Bybrand (https://www.bybrand.io) and load the signatures of a particular department, or based on the user's email account

A good first step towards this might be support personalized signature per team member. For example, if I reply to a shared account my signature could be different from another teammate who has access to the same shared account.
Etienne Lemay
Jack Sellwood: Hey Jack!
Delegated users of a shared account can set their own signature for each aliases by going to the shared account setting, see attached screenshot.

Etienne Lemay: It's great that delegated users can set their own signature, but letting organization admins set it for the user would be better. We have a team email that all our inquiries come in to, and being able to set up signatures for each team member by the admin would be preferable, so we know who in the team took point on a conversation (assigned is too easily changed). While users can do this for themselves, they are often too busy working with customers and vendors to do the set ups themselves. Thank you.
Fergus Macdonald
Etienne Lemay: It would also be nice if admins could have a personal signature for each shared inbox like a user does. I set the signature for the shared inboxes as 'thanks Fergus' then everyone has to change it to be what they want.
