Rafael Masson: LOVE IT! Any way to make the reply signature HTML?
Rafael Masson
Nik Schultz: We made the secondary signature rich text only as we believe it will largely be used to create simpler signatures (with no major formatting or images). However I just realized there may be confusion… The secondary signature does not allow arbitrary HTML, but it isn’t just plain text either. It does support all formatting like the draft composer. The thing is it doesn’t show the rich text toolbar. We could add the toolbar to make it clearer. In the meantime, what you can do is write your secondary signature in a draft composer, so you can use font size / colors / etc. then just copy-paste it in the secondary signature box.

Based on the plurality of your answers... I want for a customizable alternative signature. (no styling & images, only text and newlines)
So it supports, first name, initiales, '--' delimiter and whatnot! 💪

Philippe Lehoux: perfect and simple 👻

Will be shipped in next update. You will have four new possibilities:
- After first email, use no signature
- After first email, use user first name (Philippe)
- After first email, use user full name (Philippe Lehoux)
- After first email, use email account name (Philippe Lehoux, Support team, etc.)
I was wondering if you guys prefer we add a little “--” before basic name signatures?
You prefer option A or option B?
OPTION A
Hi,
Thanks for your email.
Philippe
OPTION B
Hi,
Thanks for your email.

Philippe Lehoux: Option A - definitely!

David Tiong
Philippe Lehoux: I'd say A for basic name signatures
Raffaele Viggiani
Philippe Lehoux: I think is better without --
Anyone can add it if he or she wants.
Other useful option would be to have the initial of name and last name:
Hi,
Thanks for your email.
PL
Philippe Lehoux
Raffaele Viggiani: I think I just gonna create a fifth option, where you gonna be able to define whatever string you want. In your case, R.V.
Raffaele Viggiani
Philippe Lehoux: Yeps, better option
I love this detail of precision :)
Raffaele Viggiani
Thinking: if you add the sixth possibility, third-fourth-fifth (except the first two) are not necessary
Svetlana Malakhova
Philippe Lehoux: We would prefer option B to separate the signature from the main text. I'm not sure, but as far as I understand Gmail strips the text after -- under the cut. So if you use option A it won't be recognized by Gmail as a signature.

Optional signature
Svetlana Malakhova
It would be great if you could make adding a signature optional. For example, if I want to add a signature to a particular email, I add it similar to canned responses. If I don't want to use a signature, I simple don't add it. Now I have to remove signature from every email, except the first one. Or I have to type it manually every time I reply to a new email.
Jason Letteboer
Absolutely agree with this. Just moved from Newton and they nailed this so well. New email has signature, subsequent replies do not. Perfect.
Raffaele Viggiani
Options:
1) not in replies
2) (and/or) ability to choose between multiple signatures or delete it (the way Front manages it is very nice: it’s a box separated from the reply: it’s useful even for an aesthetic view: spaces remain correct)
Jiří
This is very useful, I recommend the way, how frontapp use this...
Nik Schultz
Jiří : YES - I used 2 different signatures all of the time and would love to see this option.

Or, the option to choose which signature to use, like every email app does.
