Why do I need to manually update or restart my client? Isn't the OS X app just a WebView that could be refreshed? Sometimes I go days without restarting my computer or apps like Missive. Would be awesome if there was an auto-update setting that applies any new updates when they're available.

Maybe add a setting "Automatically update when there's a new version of Missive"

Yeah we thought about that. Updating the app means reloading the page. Just needs to be done at the appropriate time: when user is not focused on the app, when no pending text is written in a comment box so it’s not lost by reloading, etc.
