Can anybody help me? While I have dark theme (the correct one - true dark without the white windows in preferences) selected in preferences, most of my emails appear in a white window. How do I fix this?
Thanks. I want everything to be dark - even the email windows!

Thank you all for your quick feedback, we hear you! There are a lot of areas that are going to be improved over time.
- Options to customize areas of themes. i.e. Light messages on dark UI, dark sidebar on light UI, etc. This is very short term.
- We’ll look into customizing the scrollbar on macOS for those with the scrollbars visible. Short term as well.
- What we call “newsletter detection”. A lot of emails aren’t designed or meant to be seen on a dark background. We’ll be trying to improve that detection and normalize such emails if possible in order to make them readable no matter what theme you’re using. We’re going to be very very careful about this one and use a progressive approach because there are no rules in emails. What works for some breaks the layout of others.

Etienne Lemay: what does the auto settings do under themes on iOS ? It doesn’t auto change the theme

Leo Khoo: Auto uses the theme based on the OS preferences. It only does something on macOS Mojave otherwise it uses the default theme.

I really like it but a lot of emails text turns dark grey or light grey and is not readable with the dark background and light backgrounds now. Unfortunately this is not usable and needs to be fixed

Yes, fully agree, the dark theme is nice, but unfortunately does not work in the email body section at all, this should be kept white as most email content / newsletters / email signatures have been optimised for white backgrounds. Only the left panes should be dark.

Made it just in time for your brand new macOS version!
I couldn’t be more biased, but I truly believe this is one of the most beautiful dark theme app out there so far! Give it a try (even if you’re on Windows or web browsers) 🙌🏼.

I just installed the app on phone and Mac, and this is the first thing I was searching for. The white is such an eye strainer especially checking mail in bed :) :)
