Yeah, it is really frustrating. Search in missive in general is. You can accomplish what you want by typing out the full gmail (if your using gmail) search operator. Something like from:name@domain.com contains:searchword. Still, results are not great. And you have to fully type all of that, there is no auto complete once you type from.
