I archived a conversation by mistake. Shaking my phone should offer me to undo the last action.
This used to be a feature in the past but it seems to have been removed..?
@SECRET AGENTS 🌐: You are right, this changed with the last iOS update. Now Undo and Redo are available as option when clicking of the blue + button at the bottom right of the main inbox view.
This is due to some changes in iOS not being supported by the platform we use to build the Missive mobile app. We unfortunately don’t know if and when we will be able to easily restore Shake to Undo functionality.
That said, our next update will introduce “Undo banners” that will appear at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds after Archive actions and similar. This will mitigate the removed shake gesture.
@Etienne Lemay: Sounds like a viable workaround, thanks
@Etienne Lemay: I mentioned it on Twitter but I'll mention it too here: I hope y'all are shouting at the top of your lungs at whoever makes the platform you build Missive on top of. iOS 13 (and those new gestures) have been around for developers for quite some time, as you know. If this platform is all about providing a stable and useful development base for iOS apps, they have SERIOUSLY dropped the ball here by not supporting the OS-standard gesture for such a common function. (It's the same with the new double- and triple-tap gestures to select text... noticed Missive doesn't support it, I assume again because this platform is behind.) I find it super frustrating to have to learn a different set of gestures for Missive than all the other apps I regularly use on my phone. :-\
