I never use the "Focused" inbox feature that other apps have, but I do consider smart notifications (important/personal emails only) to be critical. Otherwise there are just wayyyy too many notifications.

2024 now and while it appears this was done via rules, those rules don’t seem to actually work to silence notifications based on a Gmail label. Am I missing something?

I would love to be able to see notifications for only emails to specific inboxes vs. all of them! I might need to disconnect some emails because of this.

I was going to makea similar feature request; rules for notifications or being able to turn off notifications for certain shared inboxes would do the trick for me (I only want notifications for emails sent to me, not any of my team's shared inboxes).

Newton, from where I am coming, gmail-like pre-sort notifications into 'Newsletter' and 'Social' ones, and let you assign e-mails/addresses to those folders which is being memorised, i.e. those e-mails then always jump to that label and skip the inbox. I would love a feature like that in Missive also :).

Agreed. If I can add people to a "VIP" group or a "notify" setting like ios mail has so I can track certain threads or always be alerted when certain people (the boss!) email me

Being notified for just personal and not shared emails is a must for larger teams because otherwise everyone gets notified about every email.
